Thank you for having your say as we plan the design of the proposed trail. We really wanted to hear and understand what's important to you.

It was fantastic to hear from over 170 diverse community members who live, work and play in the area - from land owners to horse riders and recreational users.

We have collated the wide ranging responses and prepared a detailed engagement report outlining the engagement process, and what we heard from you.

We will now use this feedback to undertake a Functional Design for the proposed trail before we develop the detailed design for construction.

We are planning to enhance the quality and extent of streamside vegetation along the Little Yarra River, through the removal of exotic vegetation, exclusion of domestic stock and targeted revegetation.

As part of this project we have identified the opportunity of improving recreational activities, amenity, community access and connection to the waterway by constructing a new walking trail along the river which connects with the existing Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail.

The section we are seeking your feedback on starts at the Warburton Highway and links up with the Warburton - Lilydale Rail Trail. Other stages are being considered by Melbourne Water and Yarra Ranges Council however will not be delivered as part of this project.

We'll be offering a number of ways to get involved throughout this project.

During phase one we held online information sessions and a survey seeking your local knowledge and ideas to enhance connection of the proposed trail.

Make sure you follow this page to keep informed of upcoming opportunities to get involved.
