Draft decision released

On 25 March 2021, the Essential Services Commission released their draft decision on our Price Submission, which can be viewed on the Essential Service Commission's website.

We will now review the Commission’s decision and seek to make changes to our Submission where appropriate, balancing a strong focus on customer affordability with our responsibility to deliver services that our customers value.

Give your feedback

The ESC is inviting feedback on their draft decision until 4 May 2021. Submit your comments or join their online public forum on 22 April 2021.

Background on our 2021 Price Submission:

  • Our Price Submission details our proposed services in water, sewerage, waterways and drainage over a five-year period, as well as the cost of delivering these and the prices we intend to charge customers.
  • It is subject to approval by the ESC, Victoria’s independent regulator, who regularly reviews prices for water and other essential services to protect the interests of consumers.
  • Over a 20 month period, we ran extensive engagement to understand the priorities and preferences of our diverse customer groups and community.
  • Our 2021 Price Submission was lodged to the ESC on 9 November 2020.

Next steps

After public consultation closes on 4 May 2021, the ESC will then release their final decision and price determination in June 2021.
