We asked you to share your Werribee River experiences

Thanks to everyone who provided their feedback on their existing recreational activities and aspirations for the lower Werribee River (from the confluence of Davis Creek to the estuary in Port Phillip Bay).

It was great to hear how people are currently using and enjoying the lower Werribee as well as your ideas for improvement.

This feedback and your ideas for future enhancements will enable us to better plan for the provision of nature-based recreation opportunities, while protecting environmental and cultural values.

What we asked

We asked about the nature of your recreational activities along the lower Werribee in terms of what you enjoy doing, the frequency of visits and whether you visited informally or formally as part of a group.

We also asked you to share your ideas for future enhancements to the lower Werribee such as the installation of visitor signage, fishing platforms, boat ramps and paths.

Your feedback

Check out the feedback and suggestions for improvement that we will incorporate into our Draft Water Recreation Plan.

What's next

We will now use this valuable feedback and ideas in the creation of the Lower Werribee Water Recreation Plan.

Keep following this page to receive updates and to provide feedback as we work to finalise the Water Recreation Plan.
