Tell us about your experiences with flooding and how we can help you

Many organisations have a role in managing flood risks including local and state government, water authorities and emergency services. We have different roles and responsibilities including managing drainage, land use planning, delivering flood warnings, and managing large scale flood mitigation projects.

We also have responsibilities to support communities - before, during and after flood. Our aim is to help communities become ‘flood ready’.

Flood ready communities are aware of their level of flood risk, can take steps to prepare for flooding, and understand what to do when warnings are issued. They are likely to be safer, have reduced impacts and recover faster.

Take the survey and have your say

Complete our 10 minute survey below to tell us about your needs and experiences in relation to flooding.

Through the Flood Management Strategy refresh process, we are developing a greater emphasis on managing climate change and empowering diverse communities, including expanding our focus on community awareness, preparedness, response and recovery.

Your feedback will help us to plan and develop key programs to continue to make the region safer for our community and to assist communities to become flood ready.
